CHOI SOO HEE
South Korea
Since the 1990s, Choi has been actively working with abstract and figurative works along with the current of contemporary art, paying attention to and finding material in everyday life. Her works are characterized by the way the artist's personal interests, experiences, and aspects of thought are imaged through borrowed images, either in the form of concepts or as fragments of forms seen in the abstract.
Through the variation of color and composition in her works, she shows the flow and change of emotions that the world of music can give to humans. Music allows us to access our inner harmonious and warm feelings, and it can make us feel happy. It can also create a positive world in our minds that can help us relax and energize us in our busy and tiring lives. This work expresses the emotions embedded in the beautiful chords of music through colorful and abstract compositions that resonate with the soul. - From the artist's note

My work is a monumental piece in a church, which, based on the legend of a Saint, refers to Christian hope. The legend of the Saint happened in the past, and the Christian message is a projection into the future. At the same time, the work impresses with its classic content, placed in a new, nonconformist form.
Cristina Sabau - Trifu was born in Satu Mare on February 14, 1961. In 1985, she graduated at the Textile. Department, within the Academy of Visual Arts "ION ANDREESCU" in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and she was a private student of the painter Gábor Miklóssy. In the university years, she made liturgical objects. Since
1986, she has been making sanctuary equipment, liturgical vestments and painting altarpieces. Since 1991, she has been a freelance artist, liturgical and sacred visual artist, and she also deals with glass painting. Her works can be found in many Transylvanian and foreign cities.

"In my painting ""The Resting Jaguar,"" I depict a majestic jaguar nestled comfortably on a tree branch, radiating a sense of safety and contentment. This scene is a vision of harmony, where nature thrives and every creature finds its rightful place. The jaguar, with its serene gaze and relaxed posture, symbolizes the hope for a future earth where the environment is carefully preserved and protected.
This artwork is a celebration of the interconnectedness of all living beings and a reminder of our responsibility to safeguard the natural world. As the jaguar rests peacefully, I invite viewers to imagine a world where we have succeeded in creating a sanctuary for wildlife, where every species can flourish without fear.
Through this piece, I aim to inspire a collective consciousness towards environmental stewardship, encouraging us to envision and work towards a future where humans and nature coexist in perfect balance."
BIEAF2024, I think that this is very meaningful as we as a human collective has done very little for our previous planet. I hope this exhibition will show the world how fragile and delicate earth is at the moment. We cannot postpone or continue to make false promises on saving the only thing we have, Our Mother Earth.
Danielle is a self-taught artist that has blossomed since the age of six. Her artistic journey has been a lifelong passion. Danielle's vibrant acrylic paintings are a testament to her creativity and versatility. With a flair for portraying vivid colors and textured surfaces, she seamlessly combines acrylic paints and mixed media to craft captivating artworks. Danielle's artistic style gracefully treads the line between representational and abstract, allowing her to breathe life into subjects ranging from still life and animals to the delicate beauty of flowers and the grandeur of landscapes. She steadfastly resists pigeonholing herself into one particular style, for her art is an ongoing experiment fueled by the inspiration she derives from the tapestry of daily life."

Introspection is the inner examination of one's thoughts and emotions. It allows us to better understand ourselves, our motivations and our reactions. This process of personal reflection encourages growth and evolution by identifying areas for improvement. Practised regularly, introspection helps to cultivate self-awareness and to live in harmony with one's deepest values.
David Nativel is a sculptor from Île de la Réunion, known for his unique approach to art through the recycling of materials. Born in 1971, Nativel grew up in a creative environment with his grandfather, an inventor, ferronnier, and mechanic, which deeply influenced his artistic development. At 17, he learned welding from Pierre-Paul Bellemene, which became a foundational skill in his work. Nativel is particularly passionate about combating planned obsolescence and waste. He creatively repurposes discarded industrial materials and driftwood into sculptures that often feature rigid or deconstructed forms, such as lamps, characters, and everyday scenes. His works are a response to the environmental impact of consumerism and are recognized internationally

This artwork is a reflection of the artist's homeland, a place they haven't visited in a long time, seeping into the canvas from the depths of their subconscious. In this way, the artist has mirrored the imprints of the Muş Plain, etched into their memory since childhood, onto the canvas, as if drawing nourishment from their native soil.
The artist , seeking individuality , uses diverse materials in works exploring "attachment" . This bond, formed upon completion, reflects emotional journeys through abstraction . Viewers' past experiences shape their interpretation, creating a personal narrative and a form of self-discovery .

Iam a multifaceted artist, this makes my work richer and more satisfying, in it. I find various ways of expression and do my homework with much more creativity. A long and difficult career for me, but my perseverance has shown that there is an obstacle that makes me give up my passion for my artistic work.
Fundamentally my painting deals with the theme of women. I also focus on images that impact me or allow me to work with them in other facets, for example in my work as a designer, illustration in books and stories. The illustrations I made for the story BODICHITA on CD with the voices of actors and actresses who made this beautiful children's story and which premiered at the Monachil Auditorium (Granada) and which was later in Phoenix Arizona (United States) serve as an example.
Other books and covers such as EL SURRO DE LAS DUNAS, LA MORA CAUTIVA, LA CASA JUNTO AL RIO, CONTAR UNTIL CINCO, PORTADA DE ALHUCEMA are, together with YO HUSUM, one of my latest works in illustration.
My pictorial works are distributed in several countries in private collections, France, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. He exhibited in several international pictorial calls such as Korea, Turkey, India, Argentina, Peru and Egypt. It should also be said that cultural magazines from Saudi Arabia such as SPECTRUM and AL MADINA published several of my works, mentioning my professional career. And of course, in various regions and provinces of Spanish territory such as Salamanca, Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Seville, Granada and Malaga. Mention two of my most emblematic works donated for dissemination on posters and solidarity t-shirts against cancer and fibromyalgia. One of them NINFA DE LOS BOSQUES being the image of the Spanish TOP MODEL Marisa Jara and FRIDA KALO for the solidarity cause of FIBRO PROTESTA YA. Another of my best known facets and therefore more rewarding is my time in fashion and it was the opportunity to work for the firm NOOR in Art Bags.

if one pays close attention to the natural world, one can uncover miracles occurring beneath the surface of ordinary life. A belief system that holds that the natural world is the only world and that there is no underlying or transcendent supernatural being, presence, or power is known as religious naturalism or Religion of Nature. The Extraordinary in the Ordinary, we only become aware of the marvels that are always happening around us when we accept the sacred depths and dimensions of daily life. My approach is not only looking at the form and spirit of the human figures as in traditional works which looks ordinary. But I pay particular attention to feelings and thoughts, as they are important expressive tools in the creation of extraordinary forms. In the end, though the animal and nude series appear quite different from the basic structures, both display the same kind of direction in my visual language investigation. Some of my subjects are quite beautiful, others less so. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, and to discover the reality of life in unusual places. The Extraordinary in the Ordinary.
Rakesh Kumar Chaudhary is an Artist and Educator, a creative and innovative thinker with distinctive styling, visualization, and designing expertise. His art articulates the ‘inner thoughts of human beings and the soul of Indian society’. His compositions of enigmatic nature embody critical view of social, political, environmental, and cultural issues. There is always an underlying statement. The aim is to awaken consciousness of old and new values. His creative stimulus includes intensification thorough idiosyncratic creations, which can be seen changing, moving, and aware of the flow; sometimes soothing, while sometimes disturbed by the surging energy. The gentleness or abruptness of modeling and complex arrangements of several elements to form a structure, have been deliberately concocted to trigger emotional responses. A glance at Rakesh’s work and one enters the world of mystery revealing the things from past, present world and its surroundings. The symbols are never without overtones, like echoes that move out and mingle with other sounds. There are conflicts and dilemmas; vastness of changes to undergo and already undergone; and engagements to reflect radical revisions in the world. The related and even unrelated forms are carefully modeled and seriously thought over for being effective for the purpose, before bringing them together in a composition for conveying the desired message. The variety of impressions to an eye includes physical sensation along with literary as well sentimental ideas in the dramatic projections; vibrant, exciting, contrast of forms; asymmetrical arrangements and even blended contours. The seriousness and agitated patterns; new icons projected through frontality and linearity blended with techniques, can mean a social comment, a protest, just a simple message to transform attitudes and imbibed values. His artwork reveals aesthetic captivation; embodies dream, myth, reverie and satire, encumbered with subjects of animals like chimpanzee and zebra, fish, cat, crows, arrows, trumpets, lotus blooming among cactus, plants, and harsh ropes around delicate female body, bells, and clouds. There is spirituality and science with Buddha and astronaut in the same frame; idealistic viewpoints of Mahatama Gandhi; pain or scenario of migratory labour and lockdown phase where vibrant colours have automatically transformed to gloomy and dark; contrast of war and peace with man holding a knife in one hand and a bird in another; cage and entrapped white pigeon which is an icon of peace- all form an incongruous juxtaposition. “My approach is not only looking at the form and spirit of the human figures as in traditional works. I pay particular attention to the feelings and thoughts, as they are important expressive tools in creation. At the end, though the animal and nude series appear quite different from the basic structures, both display the same kind of direction in my visual language investigation. Some of my subjects are quite beautiful, others less so. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover the reality of life in unusual places.”

The title of my painting is ‘Immerse in Green.’ Size of the painting is 38x58 cm done on a Canson sheet. The medium used is acrylic colours.
The painting is called ‘Immerse in Green’ because the colour green is not only associated with nature and environment but it also symbolizes life. The buildings in the distant background stand as a mark of success and growth of we have achieved in the present. On the other hand, the tree in the foreground reminds us of wisdom. It takes a sapling decades to grow into a majestic tree. While the tree grows taller and taller, its roots got deeper into the earth, binding it firmly to the ground, showing how growth towards the sky also needs an appreciation of the roots that bind us. Some trees bring beautiful vibrant colours in the world representing hope, the joys of spring, and a better time to come. The birds that make such trees their home depict the peace and equilibrium of the entire system.
Through ‘Immerse in Green’ I exhibit my artistic view of how growth while respecting ours connection to one another is necessary for a peaceful environment in the present and the future to come.

Description of artworks: Slika "Šarenilo svijeta" je apstraktno umetničko delo koje se ističe živopisnom paletom boja i gustim, pastoznim slikarskim tehnikama.

In this work I capture the particular vision of femininity in the name of woman, the muse that attracts with her sweetness and her honey, but at the same time it is that same influence that turns her into the queen bee, the one who decides, directs and maintains the union of her family nucleus, it is undoubtedly a work that decodes the vision of the feminine.

The acrylic painting is part of the Between series. This is a play of time, space and the interval. Illusive figures and passageways allude to the illusory perception of the mind.
The metal work is from the Surface Tensions series. Green consciousness was the motivating guide, with my intention of kindness to the earth. This led to creating a new medium with metal. The imagery was created with only non-toxic substances; water, tea and plant fiber. The environment plays a part in their making with the random hand of nature; rain, wind, and plant fibers. The metal works were created by the natural processes of staining and oxidation. The metal art develops on outdoor tables surrounded by trees.
Elaine has studied with two art masters; Fritz Wotruba a sculptor in Vienna. Also she worked with Shoichi Ida, sculptor/ printmaker from Japan, She has been exhibiting internationally and has been recognized with awards in many countries as well as in the USA. She is an artist who forages new pathways.
